Evergreen Forest Products, Inc. has operated in the lumber industry for 49 years. The company imports wood from around the world and processes it at its sawmill in New York. It is the premier supplier in the United States of premium natural marine dock piles and lumber from "Greenheart" (Chlorocardium Rodiei). Greenheart is a species of lumber that is fire resistant and naturally resistant to marine borer without the use of toxic treatment, rendering it safe for the environment. Evergreen Forest Products also supplies premium hardwood decking for residential use in ipe, teak and purpleheart and carries a line of exotic hardwood live-edge wood slabs for tables and furniture. The company has supplied materials for major projects at Chelsea Piers, the Statue of Liberty and the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.
